This blog was created back when I was in the dark and difficult places so many of us find ourselves in when emotions feel too big to hold alone; and I want it to continue to be that place of solace and support, now for others who find themselves there too.
My work supports anyone interested in learning more about emotional regulation. The people who’ve been told they’re too much, too emotional, too reactive — and who are learning to believe that those qualities might not really be flaws, but signals from a nervous system doing its best to keep them safe. It’s for those trying to untangle their sense of self from a lifetime of crisis-management, people-pleasing, emotional exhaustion, and quietly (or loudly) surviving with the tools we were given.
It’s also here for the professionals — the therapists, coaches, and care workers — who want to understand emotional dysregulation and DBT from the inside out.
🌿 For Deep Feelers, Survivors, and Sensitive Souls
Here, you’ll find downloadable DBT resources, blog deep-dives and guided journaling prompts to help with an ongoing learning practice, and exploratory guidance rooted in lived experience. These resources don’t demand perfection – and they are no replacement for therapy – they meet you where you are, because it’s somewhere I’ve been.
This space is for you if you:
- Feel overwhelmed by your emotions or struggle to express them
- Are navigating BPD, complex trauma, or intense overwhelming emotions
- Have spent lots of time in invalidating environments or struggle to validate yourself
- Are learning emotional regulation for the first time
- Have felt failed by traditional systems and need some digital tools to help support you
- Want to journal, reflect, and grow with compassion, not pressure
- Are craving tools that feel personal, not clinical
- Have said: “Why am I like this?” more times than you can count
You’re not too much. Your emotions aren’t wrong. You don’t need to be fixed – you deserve to be understood, and to grow from there. Whether you’re in therapy, on a self-discovery path, or somewhere in-between, you’re welcome here, and I hope my tools can help even just a little.
🌱 For Therapists, Coaches, and Mental Health Professionals
This space offers more than a framework — it offers DBT resources for therapists who want to bridge the gap between textbook theory and lived experience. If you’re here, it’s likely because you care deeply and want your support to feel human, not just clinical. These tools and insights are designed to help you:
- Better understand what DBT feels like from the inside
- Learn more about how BPD and emotional dysregulation are experienced day-to-day
- Learn new ways to help patients feel safe after trauma while in your sessions
- Challenge outdated narratives around personality disorders
- Listen to the real voices of healing via the DBT modality – and the change it can make
- Reconnect with the human underneath the diagnosis
If you’re seeking a more patient-led, stigma-free understanding of DBT, trauma, and recovery – this space is for you.
Use these insights to shape your practice with more compassion, language that validates rather than pathologises, and a renewed sense of what healing can look like when it’s self-defined and survivor-rooted.
Whoever you are, you’re in the right place.
We can’t eliminate suffering, but we can soften the way we meet it.
We can’t erase our complex trauma, but we can heal in its aftermath.
Piece by piece, we can challenge the systems that told us we were broken – and start to bloom on our own terms.
