If you are someone with lived experience of mental health-related issues, BPD, or trauma recovery and would like a non-judgmental platform to tell your story, I’d really love to hear from you. I’m also open to hearing from therapists, mental health writers, recovery advocates, wellness creators, or anybody with lived experience or expertise in mental health with their own unique perspective or insight to share.
What I’m looking for
I’d particularly love pieces relating to the core themes of Eliza Blooms:
- Emotional regulation & BPD recovery journeys
- DBT, CBT, EMDR, trauma-informed therapies or therapy reflections
- Mental health journaling prompts or creative writing
- Mindful or sobriety-focused pieces
- Self-esteem, identity, and inner child work
Content guidelines for guest blog submissions
- I get a lot of AI submissions, so where possible please keep it in your own words. Light use of tools for grammar or clarity is fine; full AI‑written drafts won’t be accepted.
- I will decline pieces that read as generic with no lived experience, personal insight, or clear point of view. I want to hear your story, perspective or insights. Posts must be original and not published elsewhere.
- Please keep triggers in mind for our audience, while I want to help share direct lived experience, try to avoid very graphic descriptions of anything too triggering.
- Blogs must be at least 500-1000 words, and can be longer, with some headings throughout.
- By submitting a piece you accept that I may lightly edit your post for clarity, length, formatting, and SEO, but I won’t make any big changes!
- If you have your own blog or website then please attach a link for me to credit you and link to and feel free to add a bio with links. If you would prefer the post to be anonymous then please just let me know.
- I will let you know if I publish your piece, but publication is not guaranteed until I’ve had a final read of the piece.
I’m also open to collaborations or post swaps if you have a relevant blog, just drop me your ideas!
